Accessibility Info for the Physically Challenged or Disabled

Vancouver Maritime Museum:

DESCRIPTION: Features model ships, marine relics and artifacts and the historic schooner, St. Roch. The Canadian Heritage Harbour is on a dock a short walk from the museum.

PARKING: Two designated spaces adjacent to building.

ENTRANCE: There is a ramp from the parking lot to the west side of the building. Wheelchair users enter through the general building exit, which is equipped with an automatic door.

INTERIOR: All exhibits are accessible except for the St. Roch. Group tours for people with special needs including videos of the inside of the St. Roch can be arranged by calling 257-8300. Heritage Harbour: Includes international and locally built heritage vessels. Access to the harbour is through a gravel and paved path from the parking lot. The ramp to the dock is steep and uneven. People with limited mobility would need assistance.
